Tonal Exercise...in Grey made with the Three Primary colours

Haven't seen your story on this, but I like your sketch- a sort of moonlit kitchen scene, with a midnight snack ambience. Rock on, Patsy & take no heed of grouchy tutors!

Hate it when a tutor takes the brush or pencil from you and even worse when they then try to fix YOUR painting. Like the colours and looseness

I think this painting is very well done. Considering you had to mix your own tonal shades you have made a good job of it. It has a nice loose style too as Norah points out.

Water under the bridge... will be even better next time wont it !

What do these tutors know exactly?........we think you have done quite well with the shading of this This is only a blip don't despair.....we still appreciate your effort's......keep going.

Totally agree with Nora and Carole - I've had the same done to me so I left the class. I'll be interested to read the Forum when the server isn't playing up ... again. I hadn't noticed there was one. I'd be interested to learn what course you are doing.

I love the looseness of this Patsy. I totally understand how you feel re the tutor. Well done. PS thank you for your very kind comment on Tintagel.

I totally sympathise! Agree with all the others above. Just keep on painting - ignore the ones who criticise destructively - and don't let them near your brushes ever again. X

Sorry to hear about the tutor but I think you did a great job on mixing the greys..

Do your own thing, don,t be put off by negative comments, this one shows an understanding of tone

I like it Patsy, and agree with all of the above :-)
