Make one up; no one will know - a little known bird of the Australian outback, known to only a tiny number of aged ... er,... elders. The Chirptweetwoggler Bird. I make no charge for this advice, which will stand you in good stead. I rather like your bird - you have some beautiful colours there, sensitively applied.

Delicious, elegant - with a most graceful ,charming tenderness :-)

How come I get slated for painting skinny birds and you don't?

Like the loose feel of this Pats I can also see that he is "yours" nice relaxed feel to it. His beak is like our lovely sparrow.

Nice painting Patsy. The bird looks right to me, don't worry about the colours and I like the angle from which you've painted the bird. As Sylvia has already said looks a bit like a Sparrow.

Sweet, sweet, sweet. or is it Tweet, tweet , tweet ? Nice colours and loose brushstrokes, well done Patsy. Actually, I think it a great idea to make up your own species, they could have their own characteristics and food preferences. I was thinking of perhaps a Gin and Tonic bird or the chocolate biscuit bird, I think those are maybe my food preferences when I come to think of it. Great that you are posting your work, I love to see what you are up to, bye for now Patsy

Really pretty painting Patsy. Delicate colour.

Its gorgeous, love the colours, and I think its great to do something like this on spur of the moment:-). I also think its wonderful that you are posting your work, hope we see some more soon they are great paintings :-) x

Hiya, Pats, Really wonderful the way you've turned it around. It's so much fun, isn't it? Please keep posting them. Coll xx

Hi Patsy Meltemi never lets a little thing like colour get in the way...It is a beautiful impression of a cochineal ouzelum bird...I like it.

Excellent, never mind if the colours appear in nature (and don't our own eyes fool us with what is out there anyway?), its a very expressive little bird!

This little bird was conjured up with left over paint after failing to paint Wisteria...I don't think there is a bird with these colours in nature...another learning process something comes out of nothing
