The location of this painting is on the River Stour in Manningtree, Essex, England. There are many pretty seabirds and lovely white swans that frequent this area. The boathouse is owned by the Stour Yacht Club. I took some photos of the area when the tide was out and the little blue boat named Bluebell. She was resting on her side waiting for the tide to come back. Unfortunately, this charming boat fell apart and is no longer part of this scene.
