The "Jachthaven" (marina) is located in Naarden in The Netherlands. This is a beautiful location between Randermeren and the Ranstad. You can sail out of this marina into many great sailing areas including the Umeer, Markermeer, Uselmeer, and the River Vecht. There are so many colorful boats in this area; I captured the red and yellow ones in their berths on a sunny day this past summer. I have spent the winter on the oil painting and have just finished it. The light in The Netherlands is so lovely, the water captures so many reflections. The anchor heaves, the ship swings free, the sails swell full, to sea to sea.
