Sue sent in her version of Paul's challenge saying: 'My name's Sue and I've recently joined my husband in retirement. I'm gradually building my understanding of colour, composition and techniques. I've applied my understanding of using cool colour and smooth texture in the distance, and gradually stronger, warmer tones as you come to the foreground. Added is movement in composition and texture to take the eye to the focal point, and I've experimented for the first time in using acrylic mediums for effect: Glazing Medium to add soft, smooth sheen (sky and snow), Modelling Paste to add texture(snow drifts and ice) and Iridescent Medium to add frosted effect. I'd be grateful for any advice'
