Jane Clark sent in her version of Paul's exercise saying 'I run a small (4 students) art group. This exercise was set last week for the group and this is my result. This painting had a rough brushed background of Reeves; Fluorescent blue/Cerulean/Yellow Ochre. I drew out the shapes very roughly in a muddy white with a small brush then used Permanent Green Light (Abstract), White (Galeria), Deep yellow and Rose Red (Reeves) plus a mixture of what was still on my palette to paint with brushes, fingers, credit card and card strips. I had an urge to sprinkle Art Bars but as I hadn’t taken them with me I just flicked paint! Completed in an hour and NOT fiddled with! Phew!'
