This is really lovely, Denise - so delicately done.

This is so good, Denise. I like the way you’ve used watercolour’s tendency to make ‘sploshies’ when very wet. There’s a name for them…can’t remember it…‘cabbages’??

Looks beautiful Denise , such a delicate piece and a great colour. I’ve known them as florets Lew , same name as the cauliflower heads .

Thanks very much Jenny, Lewis, Heather and Paul. Lewis, I wait till the paint is almost dry, then put some fresh water droplets where I want the cauliflowers to appear.

I painted this seahorse quickly and loosely, wet in wet using a Japanese brush I bought from Jacksons about a year ago. I just love this brush.
