That face is full of untold stories Denise. So well captured.

You’ve captured the character of the sitter, some good line and shadows in the face. I’m less keen on the sweater and neck area, the outlines are a bit singular and hard… hope that makes sense! Ask if it doesn’t. Not a criticism Denise, my observations which I know you want me to point out, that’s how we progress! Good job and a decent study nonetheless.

It makes sense Alan, the sweater was a bit rushed I wanted to quickly fill it in with something but I should have just left the lines. I'm always happy for your advice Alan. George, I love the sketching club and drawing from life more than I ever would have imagined.

Great job Denise!

A good sketch Denise and her expression certainly shows one who is steady and reserved in her age, she looks resigned from life's experiences , accepting of her own self worth from a hard time , yet contented with what she has experienced....sounds a bit 'long winded' but you managed to capture her expression well and with composure!

A good style is developing here Denise.
