Definitely a big improvement Denise, it all looks more finished now, her hair too.

Excellent update Denise, certainly works. Shoot me down if you like but I reckon you could go darker still!

Thanks very much Paul, Fiona, Marjorie and Tessa. Tessa, I have decided to attend the portrait club twice a week. I will take my charcoal, carbon pencils and pastels along. I will eventually take my oils. I will get plenty of practice and hopefully my judgement and speed will improve with these live studies. Also, it is always packed out, so if you are early, you get the best spots, with the best lighting. So I will be making sure I arrive very early to choose a good spot.

That’s an improvement Denise… not the best photo as the paper looks beige instead of that lovely toned grey.
