Sketch from Life. by Denise Cat

After all the hassle, you’ve come away with a super sketch Denise.

At least you made it in eventually Denise! I agree with Fiona, a lovely sketch worth the effort.

Thanks Fiona and Tessa. I'm laughing because, there is no teacher, you just get on and do your own thing and everyone is set up and about 15 minutes well into their drawings. It was packed and Interrupted everyone with someone finding me a space, passing me a chair, a stool to lean on. I was trying to be as quiet as a mouse.

After all your trials and tribulations this is a very worthy well drawn sketch Denise.

You made me smile but your visit was very worthwhile!

Not the relaxed entrance that was needed Denise on your first visit. Well done anyway, this is a decent sketch I have to say… Remember to keep your pencils really sharp and with a long lead…2B and a 4B (shadows) are my preferred choice for crisp lines, with a B for fine tuning if needed! We don’t want ‘woolly’ lines.

It’s a superb sketch Denise , certainly worth the hassle , I can feel you cringing with the attention you didn’t want .

After your 'dramatic' entrance, it's good that you were able to crack on and make this fine drawing.

Excellent sketching Denise.

Nothing like being totally relaxed Denise, a terrific sketch nevertheless.

Much appreciated Christine, Chris, Heather, Alan, Paul, Lewis, Stephen and Russell.

There is something so satisfying working from life. Nice one Denise especially considering your experience

Well done for persisting, Denise. Good result though - there is nothing quite like drawing from life.

Excellent result Denise.

Well worth the hassle Denise, good drawing.

I went along to the Liver Sketching Club last night. I was at the wrong entrance so when someone came down to let me in, they were met with fresh air. Ten minutes later, still outside, I phoned and said, is there another entrance. Of course, there was. I arrived in a right fluster. I'll go regularly and try not to make a fool of myself next time.
