The Fish Kettle.

Comments

That was, liked the era it was set in. Not actually lived in that era.

Very nicely painted, Denise!

Very vibrant kettle Denise. Many years ago I cooked a salmon in white wine in a fish kettle. Must admit, it looked impressive .

This is superb Denise and was it was a pleasure seeing it develop on the forum. Excellent colours on the kettle and fish with great details.

You've made a good job of this, Denise. I like the subtlety of the items you have painted in the background on the left. Very nice.

Very good Denise.

Thanks for your kind comments David, Marjorie, Paul, Carol and Kal.

Wow beautiful Denise. I love salmon 🥰

Lovely, Denise - love the copper!

Beautifully painted Denise

That fish kettle is superb!

Denise this is an excellent painting which I have also watched develop on the Forum. I love the colour of the copper kettle and the almost 3D look of the fish. I have also watched your amazing progress over the last four years from a non painter to this, and you must be very pleased! I wonder, had you always wanted to paint or was this journey started from a lockdown feeling of ‘what shall I do now?’. Either way, our gain, and yours of course. 👏🏼

Thanks very much Faye, Anne, Shaun, Heather and Tessa. Tessa, it was a journey started in lockdown. I had no interest before that. Didn't think I had any ability to draw or paint.

I like very much the shine and reflections on the fish especially and on the kettle. Well painted Denise.

Well Denise, the girl done well!

Excellent painting, Denise.

Love the rich copper you created Denise.

Rather good, actually. The dark background gives the composition a classical feel.

Acrylic painting on canvas board. 3ft by 2ft. Inspired by a programme called The French Cook. It was hilarious. There wasn't a fish kettle in the series but I lived the era it was set in and the copper pots.
