My relative, who is visiting from Sweden asked me to do this for her. She wanted something basic, not realistic, something quick, really. Oh yes, and on wood. I reckoned I should show the wood, so I left some natural, then I taped some of and added some slight stain, then I taped some more off, to gesso and then started the painting. 5 and a half hours, start to finish. Not my sort of painting but, I reckon it will pass for a mermaid, just about.
