A very pretty scene Diana. Quite a bit going on - maybe as the light is coming from the left the trees and branches should be lighter on one side so that they are not dominating too much - using masking fluid here and there. Just a thought. Congratulations on your prize from Winsor & Newton a very good entrant which was thoroughly deserved.

Hi Diana I missed most of these...as I said before at the moment I don't feel qualified to comment technically but to me looking at these paintings they are for me beautiful considering you have not been at watercolour very long...I think it's lovely that you are making pictorial works of the places around you and those that are of importance to you a beautiful portfolio

Watercolour 14 x 10 on NOT Village series #4 I found this rather a confused scene with too many trees, garages and railway but to be true to the actual place they had to be in. Unusual in that there is no sky showing. On the photo the trees have come out darker than they really are.
