Tree Peonies

And you have done it very well! I've just been asked to paint these for a friend, but I've hardly painted any flower paintings (just a couple of poppies). Hope I can achieve something as good as this! Well done.

Diana this is so pretty and delicate, excellent work!

Thank you very much. Although the painting was difficult blending in all the different pinks and mauves, the hardest part was the drawing. They are so frilly!

A truly resplendent piece, Diana! The detail is incredibly depicted and your washes are superb. Beautifully painted!

This is super, Diana. An amazing, perfect addition to your great gallery.

Great job Diana.Really nice.

Beautiful painting Diana.

Thank you so much for the lovely comments. I've been practising flowers using Wendy Tait demos which I haven't posted on here; as I felt I'd lost my touch with flowers. The very first 5 in my gallery were also from demos many years ago but the rest are all mine LOL. I am very pleased with this one for a change.

Exquisite Diana. You've really done justice to a lovely flower.

Love those silky petals, this a winner if ever I saw one!

It may have been difficult, but it turned out lovely! you captured the light beautifully!

Just looking through your superb gallery and came across this last posting - how did I miss irt? A great study. When are you going to post a few more of your great landscapes and buildings?

Thank you ever so much Michael. I have to admit being very pleased with this one. Goodness I haven't done any landscapes or buildings for absolutely ages; haven't been anywhere; it's been too wet!

Hang on Studio Wall

30x21cm. Probably the most difficult painting I've ever done
