A definite winner any time of the year Nancy lovely

Thank you Dennis, you are always so kind. Hope you are feeling a bit better :)

Lovely colours in those washes Nancy . Great loose style too, it's worked ( without prior drawing )

Absolutely delightful Nancy so beautifully painted. Really like this one.

well done Nancy lovely spontaneous work David Harrison

This is lovely, and surely the source of some confidence going into your workshop with Jean Haines. You may like to try some more negative painting in blue tones to pick out the stems. Lovely work.

Looks like spring ...lovely....

Lovely. Really captures the joy.

Beautiful flowers and beautiful painting. Love your style Diana

Yay, Spring has arrived.

Lovely gentle washes Nancy, I like your straight in with the brush it gives the daffodils a lovely flow.

Lovely Nancy, nice soft colours and whashes.

I'm still waiting for my daffs to flower and when they do, I hope I can do them as much justice as this Nancy....gorgeous!

Thank you everyone! Thanks Phillip for the suggestion around the stems. ( We have had a mild winter in Seattle area, lots of rain, everything is green, and many trees are in bloom, pink and white too!) Immediate painting without a pencil drawing is fun, challenging for sure, and interesting. Of course, I could still do a thumbnail value sketch first, will try that next time!

Lovely loose daffodils, so fresh.

Ah Nancy - such skill controlling those wonderful washes

Lovely and fresh. Well done.

Thank you Cas and Michael, thanks for the compliment about control, working at it, but often it is hit or miss; luck or not :)

Watercolor, (no drawing with pencil); trying to keep it loose and trying negative painting to create petals. Flowers are still one of my many challenges to paint....I am very lucky to be in a 2 day workshop, next week with Jean Haines!!, (UK professional watercolor painter and teacher) teaching here in Seattle....maybe with her help, I will get over my fear and find some fun ways to approach flower painting. I am so looking forward to the workshop.
