Thank you for your very nice comments Heather, Dennis and Thalia. I have been overly critical about this one. But as they say, try it again! ( most times you can't get on paper what's in your head.)

You have caught him really well.

You’ve got to include him Nancy, he’s wonderful. Gorgeous colours and washes.

watercolor on cold press, 16 x 20 inches. experiment with a gull, standing in low tide with a crab shell in his beak. A bit of acrylic ink in the dark blue and copper off the right side. ( I am not fond of all the hard edges) Putting 16 bird themed paintings in a shorebird festival gallery next week, so I think I will include this guy.
