This is very well done, Nancy. Love the eyes!

Wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of this (characterful) cat :) Lovely work, Nancy

Thanks so much Mia, thankfully the eyes are my favorite part too!

Thank you CA. I did 4 studies, ideas for patron, and he chose this one as being the closest; then I finished it ( with way too much paint, and hard edges I think). I agree, this guy has the look of "I will eat you if you mess with me!"

He looks a character Nancy, lovely work.

This is full of character and love the indignant expression of the eyes.

He looks fabulous Nancy, what gorgeous eyes! A powerful painting!

Thank you Alan and Carole and Margaret. ( I was really struggling with this commission. Hope he has the character this painting exudes. He has a cut ear. And I matched his eyes from the 3 photos sent to me.) Hope the client is happy!

A watercolor, 11 x 15 inches. A semi feral kitty, born in a back yard, the family rescued him. He lives with Dolly, who I painted a year ago. A bit of a challenge for me, as orange is not an easy color to use as a dominant theme. The family did not have many photos, he does not like the camera! A Christmas surprise, painting to hang next to Dolly's. I Just heard the likeness is "him" from the commissioned client. (phew!) So off in the mail to go under the tree!
