Thankyou so much for all these comments. I've not been painting much today. Abit of self doubt creeping in. I'm making progress. It's hard because my goal is not really hyper realism. I think alot of magic is lost when a painting looks like a photograph. It's important to me that they always look like paintings and retain the magic.

As with all these recent pictures it's not that I don't think they are good but I could have included more detail. But the risk of ruining them by overwork is always a fear
