Just lovely Mike.

Stunning work!

Green, the bugbear of so many would-be landscape painters, triumphantly depicted in this one. Sweeping sky, rolling hills - the English landscape we must never lose to profit-driven development.

Wonderful Mike, this has everything, light, depth and gorgeous greens.

This is just a terrific painting, the breadth & depth of it draws you into the landscape's magnificence.

I love this. It seems bigger than a painting somehow.

Excellent piece, with superb textures, composition and brushwork.

Thanks for all your lovely comments on 'Before The Squall'. It's been a long time since I updated work on this site and it's really given me a boost to crack on and do more work! This piece is one of my favourites and was painted at a local Open Studios with visitors peering over my shoulder and having a chat. I think that slight distraction freed my mind and loosened up my brushwork.

Great sense of place and space Mike, just love this and the wonderful range of greens. Very atmospheric as well.

Beautiful painting, Mike, great foreground.

A wonderful landscape Mike, a beautiful painting.

Only just caught up with this Mike and it's a terrific piece of work. I've been over Haworth Moor and done a couple of paintings in my gallery of Top Withins. You painted it all beautifully.

Brilliant painting, and the realistic light, shadows and foreground are enviable. It's lovely, Mike!

Fantastic perspective and the feel of the open landscape Mike. Great painting!

Many thanks for the lovely comments, everyone!

The rain is about to sweep in over Haworth Moor, West Yorkshire.
