The village of Ashwell is where my former boss lives and this was for her birthday. I enjoyed painting the buildings and trying to get the light and shade reasonably accurate. Need more practice on the windows and the glazing bars. My grandfather was an amateur artist and this is the type of composition he did for the area around Bishops Stotford, Cambs.
