My brother and his wife went to Sri Lanka earlier this year so I thought I would do this painting for his birthday card. Beginning to experiment a bit with the colours for the sky to bring a bit of life into the painting. I am sure others could have created a more imposing scene but I am quite pleased with the composition. I was careful to keep the white stone and detailing to give the blocks some presence.
