I was pleased with the colour of the stone and general character of the building with its domestic features. One of the few paintings I have done without any sky and so concentrates the eye to what is happening at ground level. The original painting was done as part of a number I did for church fund raising. My dad bought it and then a few years later when he died the painting returned to me. This year I presented it to a young work colleague when he left to work in Wallesey so what he does with the painting I will never know!
