Lovely painting Michael, love how the car blends into the snow.

Just read your description on the Forum as to how this painting came about. What a lovely thing to do, I'm sure the lady who receives it will be absolutely delighted.

Nice! And is there any cartoon on the way?

Thanks all and - oh yes - there's a cartoon on the way.

Superb painting, as usual, Michael.

Lovely and crisp Michael, with some great darks. I'm not a fan of re-visiting paintings, which is what I'm stuck in at the moment.

Fantastic winter scene, love the way you have painted the snow, great skills and great Christmas card Michael

I love the simplicity and fresh feel to this painting Michael . <br />Diana

Very nice Michael and there&#39;s definitely nothing wrong with painting the same scene again a good example being Monet, so your in good compact . also what I like about you is your versatility you have many strings to your bow.

Thank you Lionel, Fiona, Petra, and diana for your kind encouragement.

Thanks Dennis - I&#39;m afraid I get bored if I keep doing the same thing. There is so much to do and look forward tot...just hope to continue for many years yet providing I retain my marbles of course...!

First time I&#39;ve seen it and it&#39;s so wonderful, the colours are so good as well.

A lovely Winter scene, Michael...your buildings and perspective are superb too. Great composition!

I&#39;ve read the backstory Michael and that&#39;s a beautiful gesture you&#39;ve made to the splendid lady in question I hope she has many years left to enjoy this lovely painting , happy Christmas long life and happiness to you and yours , Dermot

Lovely winter scene, beautifully painted as always.

Lovely crisp painting

Some may recall that I posted a christmas card back in 2011 using this same scene. Well this is a virtually a copy of the same painting done in the last few days with a purpose - there is a story behind it which I'll post in the forum for those who are interested. I think perhaps the first version was better but it's always the same when you try to repeat something done in the past.
