As Sandi has said, this is a lovely peaceful scene.

Lovely clean and fresh painting. I like the pen work which adds definition in all the right places. The addition of a couple of figures keeps the scene real. You see far too many paintings of 'ghost' village and towns which seem to have no residents, so this is a nice change.

Agree with everyone, lovely washes in your watercolour Michael, really love your depiction of the tree's and hedgerows great idea to do away with any branch and leaf work and just go straight in with washes it's worked a treat for you here

Thanks all for your encouragement - I worked from a photo taken a couple of weeks ago in the rain and the sunny depiction and foliage owes a lot to artistic licence.
