I think this drawing stands alone as a great piece of work. It is detailed for sure, but nothing looks overworked or too much to me. How about putting a wash over this drawing rather than doing a painting? I would be interested to see you do this as I am struggling with how to do washes over penwork at the moment and seeing what others do is so useful. No pressure then!

Thanks one and all - glad you like it - will post the watercolour version when I get the chance to photo it - Thea, its already done but I do have a pen and wash painting done a few days ago which i will also post.

A lovely drawing Michael and I like it when it's not too fiddly. Will be interesting to see the watercolour version. I'll try to do a drawing one day!
