I've been looking at it for quite a long time, Michael, and the thoughts it brought into my mind seem to end up with the creation of the world. The first morning when the first light burst into sight. A really beautiful, thought provoking panting which hopefully gets to be selected at the top page!

It's interesting to see this Michael and to try to decipher the thought process. To me it looks like a night time landscape, with the ghostly image of the moon in the sky. I like it!

Yes a lovely depth that says landscape Michael. We see figuratively no matter what

Thanks to you all - had great fun developing the granulation effect

Great colours great abstract Michael.

You obviously really enjoyed doing this one Michael, I can see lots of experimenting with techniques, shapes, colour and placement. Altogether sumptuous.

The granulation gives the effect of looking at a thunderous storm through heavy rain on a window, with the light of the end of the storm just appearing on the horizon. I love these abstracts of your Michael, you can read so much into them.

Last week, night time skies here were alive with the aurora borealis and even though generally the colours are brighter than here, the effect reminds me of the same. Especially if you take the darker tree shape top righthand and the light behind it, that's how the horizon from where I live looked. It's a lovely piece Michael and I think this should make the top line!

I find interpreting your abstracts is a fascinating process. I always find that the more I study it, the more I see. And reading other&#39;s interpretations is so interesting too. For me, on this one, I see it very similar to Fiona. Certainly a beautiful tree with possibly a sunrise behind it, on a hilltop, with ocean to the left. The wash of red almost looks like volcanic lava, with the flash of white representing extreme hot spots within the lava. The granulation effect is awesome! As Fiona says......it&#39;s the top line for you! <br />

Kind of you all to comment and love the interpretations - started out with a volcano in mind and still has elements of this but in a bigger landscape - anyway still got one of my invented words as a title.

Well done and detailed work, definitely worth the effort and time. Waiting for your next cartoon ;-)

I&#39;m seeing the top of a volcano with lava spewing out of its crater, an interesting piece, I do like this one a lot. The granulation adds texture and interest.

The &#39;Big Bang&#39; Michael! Very exciting piece.

This is visionary michael. Powerful piece.

More thanks to you all - I&#39;ve got it mounted now and held against a plain sort of brushed satin frame it does look pretty good even if I do say it myself.

Great drama here Michael, at first glance I thought looked like one of the photos taken by a satellite, of distant galaxies.

Really love the beautiful colours and texture in this Michael.. To me its a night landscape.....headlights coming over the brow of the hill casting strange shadows and colours on the land.

Looks like an ominously stormy night, Michael. Loaded with atmosphere.

Unlike many of my abstracts this one took quite a time and a lot of work. I had an idea in mind and worked towards it although as always seems to be the case with abstracts the end result was quite different to my original intentions............ I'd be interested to hear other folks interpretations of this piece........... Acrylic ink - 18ins by 18ins...............This is one which really is better viewed enlarged.
