Super fresh watercolour Michael. A good balance between detail and loose washes, trust your customer was happy with the result.

Striking watercolour Michael, lovely.

It's fabulous, Michael! Your washes, as usual, are beautifully luminous, and I love the lovely palette. One of my favorites in your gallery!

A lovely painting Michael, the blue school name board provides a lovely focal point and the colours are very harmonious.

Do you photograph your paintings or scan them? The latter does tend to make some colours seem much harsher than they really are. Lovely painting: put a guard on that school - these small schools are being closed down here one after the other, the ones that remain grow bigger, and then we get surprised that children feel alienated from their environment and develop behavioural problems.....

Thank you everyone for your encouragement. Robert - I always photo them and - yes - many schools are closing but this one seems to be thriving at the moment and also attracts parents from outside the village who are putting their names down (well their children's) as they see it as preserving older values and a more intimate learning environment so the future looks promising. If ever it does close it will be solely on funding considerations and there will be quite a battle with local opposition.

Superb watercolour Michael!! lovely fresh colours, I agree absolutely with all the other comments.

Beautiful bright and crisp watercolour Michael and great subject matter too.

Beautiful, fresh and full of interest.

Another "good 'un" Michael - excellent composition, it was worth "wandering around".

Thanks again all - it was purchased as a Christmas present so may never know how it was received although the purchaser was really pleased with it. As for the wandering about I was a bit nervous as school was still in session and I had visions of being accused of being a bit dodgy !!!

This sparkles. Lovely little watercolour and agree with your observation about 'full frontal' buildings-never so dynamic as a three quarter view, and like the addition of foliage to the right to lead the eye in. Nice one.

Beautiful village scene Michael, most gorgeous colours and as always with your paintings there is that lovely, fresh and crisp feel to it. Looks like a sweet place to learn, nothing like the sterile boxes around here.

Outstanding show stopping watercolour painting of this School Michael, the colours are fabulous Michael

Once again a beautiful watercolour, lots of detail.

Is this going to hang in the school? If so, it should inspire and delight the children. Lovely painting - very warm and inviting looking school nicely interpreted.

Gorgeous! Wonderful trees and lovely washes again, Michael. Great gallery!

I like it.

Recent commission - I never find a full frontal of a building an easy proposition - it's all about finding an interesting angle and after wandering around the building this particular angle seemed the most interesting with the added bit of interest in the sign and the 'invented' foliage creeping in on the right. As I always seem to find, the light red/ultramarine mix on the side of the building looks a lot harsher on screen than it does in reality. Hope you like it.
