Nice sunny image to encourage us Michael, grey skies and snow 'up North' this morning.

Love the colour blending in your trees Michael, the stonework is good too.

What a lovely clean and vibrant view of MH. I particularly like your subtle approach.

I agree with the above comments, Michael. I especially love the trees!

Love the Autumn tree colours. Did you use you acrylic inks for these?

A lovely sunny autumn feel to this on Michael.

Thank you everyone for all your kind comments - all watercolours - the red in the trees is burnt sienna.

Very nice indeed Michael!

Beautifully painted Michael, that bright green in the shrubs looks wonderful.

Once again thanks all. Yes the painting mainly features the trees but the lime yellow shrubs are also a necessary component - without them the painting would be quite flat.

Wow, fabulous trees Michael!

I particularly like the composition Michael, you approach your work so differently to me, which is no bad thing and has this tranquil look about it. I do like the relief of that burnt sienna, really gives a focal point and stops the eye drifting upwards.

Thanks Fiona and Alan. Alan - yes we do work differently. Having said that I did appreciate your article in the on-line mag this week and realised that the basic concept is not so far removed from some of my twig and wash paintings. So much so that I might try out your approach when I get a few spare moments in the week.

Really like this Michael it has sparkle and vibrancy , I love that church notice board
