Its just lovely Michael,

Very nice work Michael, has a mellow feel to it.

Agreed with everyone this is a lovely scene Michael, super sunlight in this one with the shade on the near side captured perfectly as well

Love these 'nostalgic' scenes Michael, these lovely looking villages are not very many now!

Thanks for all your kind comments. Carole - I'm really lucky in that there are 97 villages in the Harborough district of Leicestershire and so far I have only painted about 23 - they go onto a local website which covers all the villages and has given me quite a few sales - only this morning about an hour ago there was a knock on the door and another one sold. Mind you it's not always that easy.

I do, I do - makes me want to get the watercolours out again! Congratulations on the sales; the local website sounds like a very good idea ... food for thought.

Add me to the list of I do's Michael!!

I like it too. I really like your use of colours. They are vibrant and warm. This is a lovely composition and a very good watercolour.

You have a very distinctive style Michael which is very attractive and I am not surprised at your commercial success. Keep it up.

Hi Michael, thank you for the kind words on my Lurcher, I use propelling pencils for all my drawings, never need to sharpen them and can get more detail with them, I think mechanical pencil is just a different way of saying propelling pencils, probably .

A really excellent piece Michael - your usual luminous washes, coupled with a super palette and superb interaction of shapes negative and positive. I like this very much.

I've enjoyed looking at your gallery Michael. Some really good watercolour.

The next in the series - my usual palette: raw and burnt sienna, ultramarine, cobalt blue, paynes grey, light red, sap green, burnt umber, and a bit of cadmium orange in the road (all W&N) - paper: Bockingford rough 200lbs. Hope you like it....http://www.michaeledwardsartist.co.uk/index.html
