On looking at it on screen the photo certainly doesn't do it justice - also it's quite a large piece - about 14ins long.

I think these look fantastic Michael and would expect them to sell well. Very quirky, original and love the little details! Are they of actual places? Good luck with the sales..... they deserve good homes :-)

Another super piece of work Michael, the shiny surface the work is on gives the effect of water reflection, shows it off well.

Thanks all . Shayne - no they're not actual places - the composition etc is mainly determined by the nature of the bits of wood which search high and low for - mostly from building sites!

Somehow these don't come across so well in the photos. Having to concentrate on them at the moment - they are now in two galleries and a local craft shop is also interested. I've got enough but the problem is I need a few up my sleeve as replacements when (and if) any are sold. Got plenty of ideas to keep me going but I do need time. One thing I have found is that the 'rules' for painting equally apply - composition is important to take the eye into the scene along with points of interest etc etc ....
