Actually I've used too many lines - needs a bit more work but running out of time !

Very good but jarring (which ballet isnt). maybe fewer, longer flowing lines? I see what you are doing though... David

Thanks Carole. Yes David I agree - the result of rushing to post it - as I said I've used too many lines and will rework sometime in the week. The one on the left is a little better but both need reducing down somewhat.

Not sure if they are supposed to be me and Sylvia, Michael, but all I can say on my behalf is "I wish"! And no sign of an egg whisk!!!

Adele - no not you but will happily do one - just send me a photo of yourself in a tutu

Do you know what Michael, I would have to insist on a certificate from your doctor first to reassure me that your heart is very strong before I could bestow a photo of me dressed like that. A "Health and Safety" issue!

good stuff

good to see the liners back. Maybe we'll see vol.2 of this?

Thanks Tony and Ivan. Adele - is health and safety still an issue now that we are leaving Europe and can I be politically incorrect again?

I looked at that link on the forum as well. There are some exquisite photos to look at! Being a more liner person, I do agree with what you say about your few liners that the left one probably is closer to what you are wanting to do. Rushing ink is not a good idea! I look forward to more versions. Re EU now there is a can or worms ....

Interesting observation here. After reading your comment, I played around removing lines and see that the subject is still there with a few missing. Clever. Diana

Thanks Gudren and Diana - I have done a lot of these minimalist type drawings many of which I have posted here on POL in past years but it's sometime since I have done any. The trick is reducing down without losing the integrity of the subject - not as easy as it seems but I will have another go and post the result later today/tomorrow.

Diana - why not post your result - how about others giving it a go using this template?

Wow Michael, if this is a challenge, I am in for it!!!!

Practice? exercise drawing skills? playing? They are good whatever

Hopefully Michael we will be able to reintroduce sanity into out country now, but may be a long time coming if the news is anything to go by. I've already had a challenge to paint my last entry in watercolour - can I challenge myself to this minimalist line drawing as well - not too sure - don't want anyone to laugh their socks off as my attempts!

Go on Adele - you can do it...!

Great Mia - look forward to seeing it.

Very nicely done, Michael.

Very interesting - It looks as though you know exactly where you are going to put the next line - quite even pressure too. I'm sure I would be all over the place with moving dancers..
