Thanks all - must do a few snow scenes as I have two approaches to use my snow scenes from previous years in Christmas Cards - they do seem popular.

Lovely light, colourful painting. You're right about the post, but it really doesn't detract from the painting, or grab the attention away from what you intended to convey.
