I like simple sketches like this. To demonstrate an item with few lines and no colour is a great skill.

This will be interesting to follow Mia, a stage by stage account of its death and birth. Lovely.

Thank you very much Stevan, Fiona, Paul, Louise and Gudrun for having a look at my work and posting such nice comments. Because the rose is on my table, I can follow the 'decline' and 'progression' of both. I hope the bud will be open before the old one has gone completely.

Excellent sketch and love the way you are following it. Just a suggestion, may be couple of broken petals at the bottom will complete the picture.

The withered rose in the glass on my kitchen table lost a few leaves and the rosebud is opening a bit, so this is how it looks for the moment. Again a sketch immediately in ink with my Artpen filled with Quink Ink. Size A4. All comments very welcome :) Mia
