The coffee worked well! Lovely lively sketch Mia - the coffee has actually produced lovely bright tones.

Interesting study Mia, I've never tried using coffee, but seen many examples.

Clever you Mia, can’t wait to see the watercolour!

Thank you very much Margaret, Alan and Fiona. The watercolour will follow in the coming days.

Lovely sketch Mia, the coffee works really well!

Very effective. I must confess I much prefer to drink my coffee! However, some people do advise doing art when the urge strikes so have media and materials within easy reach. You'll have to show us the watercolour next.

Many thanks Petra, Gudrun and Dennis for your positive comments. I prefer to drink my coffee too, Gudrun, but it seemed a good idea to me at that moment. I used it many times before with nice but not-lightfast results. Just to be doing something I wanted to do immediately.

This is so effective with the coffee Mia, I've never tried it but you always get a good result. A lovely piece which I look forward to seeing in watercolour.

Thank you very much, Margaret. I am working on it but it is a dark, cloudy day overhere to work with colour.

Wow, you have been very creative , love the outcome .

Thank, you very much, Annick. I appreciate.

I wanted to draw and paint something, anything. In the magazine I was reading, I saw a nice picture.... so .. I took a pen, made the quick sketch. The only "paint" nearby was my cup of Nescafé and a bottle of Quink Ink. The roses are done with a red marker. I am planning to redo it on watercolour paper with real watercolours. Size A4 on cartridge paper.
