A lovely majestic tree. I think you should draw it on watercolour paper and paint Mia.

You've captured the age and scale of the tree beautifully, Mia! A wonderful coincidence, but I have to confess, in your gallery, I prefer the "Mia" trees!

Great minds think alike, they say, so well done Kirstie and Mia!

Lovely shaped tree and it does indeed remind me of Kirstie's wonderful fairytale trees. I should paint this one Mia as I think the addition of some colour would be wonderful.

Elegant Mia's or grumpy Kirsties - they are all superb and that includes this one from your 'back' catalogue

Great minds think alike so I hear . lol!

It's a fabulous 'Kirstie' tree.

It's the twist in the trunk, I think, and the quite fat trunk about half way up, which do it - I always think of Kirstie's "typical" trees as Beeches, and this is very like a Beech - one of my favourite trees, as it happens, though not one I've painted very often.... Indeed, a coincidence: maybe you two should collaborate...

Thank you all so very much for your lovely comments. Yes, it is a small world. Two people in different countries making almost the same drawing of a type of tree. Robert, I don't know what type of tree it was. As I can remember it was pure fantasy from me, just for fun. Kirstie, I know Peter Woolley's paintings, saw him on the "Paint and Draw Channel" and bought one of his books to give as a gift to one of my friends. I don't remember what was the title of it. :) Mia.

I too thought at first that it was one of Kirstie's trees! You could add some colour and confuse us even more (lol) It is a very nice Mia tree though!

Thanks Louise. I know it could be very confusing, I realised that when I found this sketch. :) Mia

When I first saw this tree I also thought it was one of Kirstie's ! A lovely sketch Mia.

The other day, I was looking through my old sketches, and... I found this ink drawing of a 'Kirstie'-tree. The date on the backside of the paper is January 15th 2008, long before Kirstie or I joined the POL-site; Now I know why Kirstie's trees looked so familiar to me when I first saw them. I made this sketch just for fun on copy paper, so no painting in colour possible or wanted. Isn't it a small world. By the way, Kirstie told me to post it here on my gallery so I did... All comments about this coincidence are very welcome.
