This is good Mia and thank you for setting the challenge which has been fun and a break from the more serious painting which I'm struggling a bit with at the moment!

It was a beauty then and it's a beauty now - I remember it all now - a great inspiration so again thanks Mia.

More lines doesn't mean it's bad. It's rather really good!

Very well rendered Mia beautifully done

Thank you all so very much. Your positive comments are always highly appreciated!

So full of movement.... he's going to take another step foreward! Well done Mia.

Thank you very much, Avril, for taking the time to have a look and post a comment.

Thank you very much, Margaret.

I was going to comment on all the lines Mia and then read the intro. A great drawing.

Thanks Adele, I do appreciate your comments.

Lots of life and movement in this pen sketch, you have to be bold to go straight in with a pen. I have been watching the dressage at the Olympics on tv. You have caught the power and grace of the noble beast!

Excellent work MIa

Thank you very much, Stephen and Val, for your positive comments. Stephen, most of my ink sketches are done immediately with a pen, except for complicated landscapes with difficult perspective scenes. My art teacher (in the sixties!!!) told us never to bother about a wrong line. Just think before you put the pen on the paper and leave it (as you can see here).!

Thank you very much, Gudrun.

Such graceful elegance in a few lines. Thank you for commenting on mine.

Thanks Tom.

Like Michael, I did this a few years ago and he mentioned it in his last posting. We posted it at about the same time. It is a pen and ink sketch, immediately in ink. I know it doesn't respond the 'less lines' challenge but I think it fits in the series. All comments very welcome.
