Old and New

Excellent range of colours.

Good one Mia

Nice and fresh and I would say, enhanced by the pen work, Mia- lovely!

It’s a very nice painting, the brick work on the corner of the building is superb. The whole painting is bright and fresh looking.

Love the sense of place this achieves Mia.

Excellent, love it

A good, solid building in a pretty landscape Mia. Lovely, gentle use of watercolours too.

Beautifully done Mia .

Lovely and fresh colours. Like it. Happy New Year 🎈

Wow, so many positive comments. Thank you all very much and a Happy New Year to you all.

Lovely, Mia!

I can't think of anything unattractive in your gallery, Mia! This is lovely. I like the very clean and sparkling washes, which have been accented in all the right places with your ink work. It's beautifully done!

Thank you very much Jenny and Seok. I appreciate!

Beautiful Mia, the pen adds to it.

I'm a fan of pen and wash too Mia, so think this is very attractive.

Fresh and bright painting Mia, full of charm.

Many thanks Carole, Margaret and Fiona, for your positive comments.

It seems to me very much a painting of a scene as found which is full of character. It’s an attractive illustration. I might have added a small feature as foreground interest, poetic license of course, but it would give a sense of depth. This is a matter of personal preference naturally. But it looks good as it is.

Thank you very much, Frank.

Hang on Studio Wall

Looking through my old paintings and looking for something to draw, I found this old watercolour (made in 2004). As I am a fan of pen and wash, I added some ink work to it and found it more attractive. What do you think? All comments are very welcome :) Mia
