You've caught the joy and excitement in his face at winning perfectly Mia and I see you are just as talented at drawing figures as you are at your landscapes and flora and fauna. Well done.

Well done Mia, he looks very happy! Also, I never took you to be a sporty person (lol)

You have caught the expression of excitement and achievement - well done. I too am very sporty - and all done from the comfort of my own armchair! lol

Very nice MIa, He looks a regular super hero :)

Great - he looks extremely pleased with himself and so should you, lovely drawing.

99% of sports bore me to stupefaction, but the drawing is good!

Lovely painting Mia

Thank you very much, Val, Louise, Debs, Sarah, Glennis and Robert. I really do appreciate your comments. He is not MY favourite, but for the moment he is winning every race, so he is a national hero (for the time being), because Belgium and especially Flanders is a Cycling 'Nation' in this time of the year. :) Mia.

Thanks Petra, you where posting your comment while I was struggling with my English, so when I posted it, I saw I didn't add your name. Thank you very much.

Agree with Robert - not a big sports fan, but a great fan of your work! Superb draughtsmanship tackles any subject successfully, and you've done this more than justice. Well done, Mia!

Being the route cause of a football team being kicked out of the London Commercial League ( I didn't work for the company I was playing for) I have since lost most of my interest in sport but I do recognise this one as really capturing the moment.

Seok and Michael, thank you very much for your lovely comments. It was "love at first sight"... about the photo, not the man!!

I am also not sporty , but nonetheless you have captured his joy in winning so well Mia . I didn't immediately recognise this as one of yours .

Super drawing Mia, very different from your usual work.

A nice piece of drawing Mia, not the easiest of subjects to capture that winning feeling of the rider, but you have managed this very well, like this one a lot.

Thank you Denise, Carole and Graham, I appreciate your comments very much. Because to me it was a sketch from an eye-catching photo, I tried to express his emotion to be the winner.

On Sunday, Tom Boonen won Paris-Roubaix for the 4th time (more than 250km, mostly on narrow roads paved with cobble-stones). This makes him the second one in history to hold that record. With still more than 50km to go, he left all the others behind him and finished solo 2 mins before the rest. Because I am a very sportive person: that means watching tennis and cycling sitting in my arm-chair (!!!), I waited till today until there was a picture of him in the newspaper. Made a quick sketch using a Staedler marker 0,2. All comments are very welcome.
