Less is definitely more in this case, Mia! The composition and the strategic placing of lines are so very well done! I'll be away for a little over two weeks, so please excuse me if I am not commenting on your works during that period.

Mia Loving minimalism as I do I couldn't believe it when I saw this one - so minimal and so effective . Love it , love it !!

Very minimal and very lovely. Using a watersoluble pen and wetting the lines was a masterstroke, almost a wash but not quite, really makes the drawing.

I agree with everyone, it is really lovely Mia, what a beautiful Xmas card

What a lovely idea. Less is definately more here.

Love it !

Thank you all very, very much!

Now that is minimal! But it works, well done and very brave.

Thanks, Stephen, I always appreciate your comments very much!

That would be both the drawing and yourself Mia !

Wow, Larry, thank you very much for that lovely compliment!

Lovely result , Mia!

I didn't realize first that it is your painting Mia until I saw your name under it. I must say that it's very effective in it's simplicity! Your daughter's mother-in-law has got good taste!

Thanks, Sarah and Satu, I appreciate your comments very much! It was not easy to start an ink drawing and then make another one with less lines, and again one with less lines, until it ended like that! Satu, my daughter's mother-in-law is 81 years old and has very strong ideas about what she likes or not!

Marvellous little drawing!

Mia....I am glad you enjoyed the beer!! We will be in Veurne in two weeks - from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon. 6 of us this time. No doubt we shall visit St Sixtus. We will also buy some lovely chocolates for xmas gifts and cheese from Kaashoeve. (We have become great friends with Marc & Hilde who own Kaashoeve) This is a really lovely design. Simple but so effective.

Hi Lesley and Helen, thank you very much for your nice comments. Helen, enjoy your stay with your friends in this beautiful area of Flanders!

Clean clear lines very minimalist, very classy Mia.

Thanks Carole, I always appreciate comments coming from such a really good artist as you are.

Every year, my youngest daughters mother-in-law asks me to design her a Christmas card. Because she prefers 'simple' drawings, last year, she chose this one. I used a Rotring ArtPen F with watersoluble ink and just with a wet brush, went under the line to fade it out.
