It looks great, excellent job

Another lovely piece

Good luck with the exhibition Mia......!

So elegant, Mia. Hope the exhibition goes really well.

Thank you very much Petra, Diana, Carole, Fiona and Jane for your lovely comments and your good wishes. The exhibition is not about selling your work (although I did last year!), but to show the people of Blankenberge how many artists there are in town and the opening-reception gives us the occasion to meet and get in contact with the other artists. Walking around with a drink in your hand and people asking which work is your entry can lead to a very interesting conversation! This is my 5th participation and I already know a lot of the others, so this is going to be a very pleasant evening!

Hi Mia, sorry I couldn't reply before am having a lot of trouble just getting on Pol at the moment! I think this is beautiful - I love pictures that have a text in them, reminds me of the beautiful illustrations that monks added to capital letters in bibles! Hope you have a lovely evening, sounds like a great idea meeting other artists - enjoy!

Beautiful Mia, I hope the exhibition goes well .

Thanks Debs and Denise for taking the time to have a look and post a comment on my work. I appreciate your best wishes for the exhibition. I am looking forward to it. Debs, I had the same problems with POL over the last few days: everything was reacting so slowly or not at all!

Good luck, Mia! This is a lovely entry. I really love the curve of the denuded branch with the few remaining leaves. It compliments the calligraphy beautifully.

This is wonderful in it's perfection. So very clean and simple but packs a real punch. I think this one will attract a lot of attention at the exhibition - good luck!

Thank you very much, Seok and Thea for your lovely comments. Harrie and I are so glad that our ideas and cooperation work so well. Working together with someone living 200km away is not always easy (in one of my first Blog-postings I explain how we met). Each time I visit my daughter, I take some sketches with me and have a "working-meeting" with Harrie, and with a "little" drink(!!) we exchange ideas and plans for the final works!

Beautifully done Mia.

Absoluyely lovely!

I appreciate your comments very muc, Paul and Sarah. Thanks!

Hello Mia. I enjoyed reading your message. We are back in Veurne for the weekend before Christmas, so will be able to buy a "brick" or two! This time we will have four friends with us. We shall enjoy seeing the beautiful decorations in the town. Good luck with your entry - I think it is beautiful.

Otztal is lovely Mia. I hope you have a really lovely time there with your extended family. Thanks for your kind comments.

This is "our" entry for the annual "Lokal Artists Exhibition" in Blankenberge. Free translation: "Everything is changing", in Greek: "Panta Rhey". The theme this year was "The 4 Seasons". I painted the pen and wash and Harrie Voet added the calligraphy to it. More info on Harrie's website: "www.kalosgrafein.be" - galerie VI - kalligrafie in aquarellen.
