Kinsale - I seem to recall that Alwyn Crawshaw did a tv programme from there, years ago: I've probably got that all wrong - in any event, Ireland's a great place for painting locations; and this was obviously another one of them.

Beautiful as usual, Mia! I especially love the atmosphere that you managed to capture and the super composition. I'll be off on vacation for 3 weeks, so please excuse me if I am not commenting on your works during that time. I'll catch up when I get back.

Looks magical Mia, so well drawn as always and you've captured real depth in this scene, beautiful.

Another nice painting Mia, it would not have been the easiest perspective in this composition to manage to draw correctly, but you have and I like it .

Wonderful picture Mia. Great detail.

I really love this beautiful painting Mia ! Your style is so distinctive !

Lovely painting - great detail

Such fine work Mia especially with all those buildings to contend with. Love it.

It's a delightful scene Mia so well executed.

Glorious. I'm spending way too much time answering techy questions in the forum, and missing great postings like this.

Very magical, well done Mia :)

Thank you all so very, very much for your lovely comments. I appreciate this very much! :) Mia

I am constantly amazed by (and jealous of) your drawing skills - beautiful! (Thank you very much for taking the trouble to compare and comment on my last two postings. I do in fact agree with what you say. I painted the second version before I had located the first, so it was a completely new approach. I think basically this kind of "empty" view tends to defeat me! I'll now go and look for other inspiration.)

This is a souvenir of our trip to Ireland a few years ago with my mother-in-law (she was 85 at that time). She wanted to visit the places where my father-in-law went fishing during the WWII, and this was one of them.
