If this is one of yoru first then I'd say this is the way you should be going. Great strong colour; thought about shadows and a strong foreground. I remember some of your very early ones struggling with tone and colour strength. This shows you can use colour.

Love the view through the window opening... and as Diana says your shadows and colour are coming way along.. So different from your seas and boats. The strong foreground helps to balance all of it.

Interesting painting Max, good greens ( the nightmare colour!) I like how you have the buildings perpendicular, I always do them leaning!

Thank you Diana, Sylvia & Carole for your kind comments. Diana i tried to give the impression of strong sunlight coming through the windows also including some shadows.....I should say this was a phantasy painting. Thank you Sylvia i did not expect such a good comment bless for that. Also thank you Carole yes greens are a nightmare i must agree there are so many different shades & it is difficult to make sure you have it right.

Good strong painting, Max. I get the shafts of light coming through the windows - so you must have done that well. If this was one of your first attempts, then I admire your bravery in really going for it in the colour department. (Carole - glad someone else has a problem with leaning buildings - much to my annoyance I do it all the time!)

Thank you yet again for your comment's Thea....i don't know how i got the building straight either just beginners luck i feel.

LOvely strong painting Max with lovely colours as usual...I think perspective is a man thing I have problems with straight lines too...also with elipses a nightmare...and green phew

Yes Patsy i agree perspective & elipses are hard but greens i don't have a problem with
