Beautiful work, Maureen, very lovely meadow well painted.

Thank you, Cesare. I enjoyed painting this. It came after I'd struggled with a seascape which was painted on top of another failed seascape. After that I decided I needed to do something calmer. I'm now working on a second 'meadow' piece, maybe with more flowers and a lighter touch.

Absolutely gorgeous Maureen - I love that haziness of the light, top left, perfectly offset by the dark on the opposite side. " Lovely, very nice" says Ralph.

I love the movement in your paint strokes

Thank you, Lynne. I really tried with this painting to vary the brush strokes so that it didn't look too regimented. Will have to, hopefully, do the same with the 2nd 'meadow' piece. Here's hoping!

Thank you Henry and Fran. I've been to Fran's site (see Marjorie's comment) and am an immediate fan. Would love to say this was painted en plein air but sad to say it's a studio piece. Still I am practicing painting outdoors and, hopefully, one day will have something to post. Am ever hopeful!
