Thanks for all your kind comments. This one was a bit experimental, with no drawing and straight in to colour. It look as though I should try it again!

Painted this morning from the lovely roof garden on top of the Queen Elizabeth Hall on the south bank of the Thames, looking across the river at the Embankment. transparent colours on Saunders 'not' paper

Matthew Sewell

Watercolourist since the 90's, and have just taken up oils a couple of years ago. I regularly paint en plein air with a local group called the Artful Dodgers, and aim to paint at least twice a week now I'm heading for retirement.
