That'll do for me Matthew a great work

Smashing piece Matthew, you have planted the pine tree in the river and I would like to see more tone and texture on the water but it's a lovely subject well worked.

The scan didn't pick up the paler colours at all unfortunately, and the pine tree and the hitching post in the river were an unfortunate coincidence!

Never mind, it works and (some) happy accidents are there all the time.

painted yesterday in lovely weather with a group of enthusiastic painters. This is on Bockingford 1/4 imperial 'not' paper, and painted with two brushes. Most was done using a medium hake, and the final strokes were from a no 4 squirrel mop, to try to stop me from fiddling!
