Great atmosphere with this limited palette Martin. I prefer this quikie" pic to the taken time and trouble one.

You really grabbed this one out of the atmosphere, before the cold finally stilled your fingers - very raw work, like it.

I was frozen stiff after painting the previous picture, so I stood up, moved about 20 metres and then painted this piece very rapidly in about 10 minutes - very numb fingers! The ruined priory of Bolton Abbey, surrounded by the glorious autumnal colours of the beautiful Wharfedale valley. Painted on location. 14.5" x 10.5"
