Very striking - like the way the strong underpainting is allowed to show through, and the strong sense of light.

Thanks Robert. I wasn't sure about the light at first - I felt it was perhaps a little contrived.

How do, Martin - Turner wouldn't have minded "contrived" - see his watercolour of Stonehenge. Don't be afraid of it - it's your painting, exaggerate, overstate, dramatize: all that matters is the final image.
