My grandson went on a school trip to Stokesay today - so a real co-incidence that I viewed your painting today also. Nice sketchy look to the painting. Like the little flowers in the foreground as well.

The romantic ruin of Stokesay Castle, Shropshire. In reality the castle is a fortified manor house complete with half-timbered upper floors and leaded windows – hardly the strongest of defence! Now in the care of English Heritage. Painted as a demonstration piece at a summer fair yesterday. Ink with wax resist and oil pastel. 11" x 14" www.cobbybrook.co.uk
