A very dramatic painting! love the light and shadows.

That's Conwy all right - wonderful building, really imaginatively painted. Your work has great strength in simplicity.

Conwy castle is a dark-stoned medieval fortress built by Edward I between 1283 and 1289. Designed to be a key fortress in the English monarch's 'Iron Ring' to suppress the Welsh, the castle commands an imposing position above the Conwy estuary. The castle is now in the care of CADW. Painted from sketches made on the spot. Acrylic and oil pastel on canvas. 27" x 27"
