Martin when they do the next re-print of Wuthering Heights, you should do the illustrations. Lots of atmosphere and mystery.

When I saw this first and hadn't read your explanation, I immediately thought Jane Eyre or Wuthering Heights. Very atmospheric and slightly spooky image - very cleverly done.

I'm a big Bronte fan and I visited Riddleston Hall a few years ago and it made a great location for WH, and I love your painting, it's a great image - well done.

‎Popped over to our local National Trust house this afternoon and this was the result - a painting of some late-flowering blooms in the garden at East Riddlesden Hall near Keighley, West Yorkshire. The manor house was built in 1642 and was used as the location for Wuthering Heights in the 1992 film 'Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights'. Ink and wax resist with oil pastel. 15" x 11" www.cobbybrook.co.uk
